A little about
Eman Abdalla

Hi! I’m a first-generation American-born Egyptian artist currently making magic (and messes) in Massachusetts. My creative journey began in 1991 with humble line drawings, which mostly stayed inside the lines—until my sophomore year of high school, when someone handed me a paintbrush loaded with oil paint. Little did I know that tiny, unsuspecting brush would turn my world upside down (and also permanently stain half my wardrobe).

My artistic process took a turn when I realized I see the world through a static-filled lens—literally. Thanks to a condition called Visual Snow, my perception is sprinkled with endless floaters and flickering specks. At first, I thought this was a glitch in the matrix. But over time, I learned to embrace it, using it as a tool to challenge how I see and interpret the world through my art. Turns out, imperfection is its own kind of perfection, and I lean into that philosophy with every piece I create.

Each painting begins with meditation—because let’s be honest, if I don’t center myself first, who knows what’ll end up on the canvas? I intentionally leave my works untitled, inviting you to see whatever your heart desires without me whispering suggestions in your ear. Name them as you wish! Just don’t call them "Untitled #237"—even abstract chaos deserves a little personality.

Art is an ever-evolving adventure, much like life itself. I hope my work brings you a moment of calm, a spark of inspiration, or at the very least, a curious head tilt. Enjoy the ride!

Calm vibes and a big thanks for stopping by to check out my artistic chaos—I mean, creations!
